Really really hard to find an adjustable hat that fits my huge head (that I keep my huge brain in š). This fits perfect! Gonna do some electric damage in the yard this year and be cool while doing it.
Boyfriend loves the hat. Fits him and his bushy curls good! Got it when he started mowing lawns - hat lasted about a month before it started to look beat up from sweat sun and tree branches. (We live in FL) He wears it 5-6 days a week - just shy of 2 months and now time to order a new one.
UPDATE: Purchased 2nd hat after it being out of stock for a while- the rim on this one was smaller, the whole reason he liked this hat was the larger size to keep the sun away- disappointed with this one. Both XXL and fit his head fine.
This hat is great for the sun. Gives me plenty of shade and doesnāt absorb much heat. They also donāt sit too tight on my head so I donāt have to worry about headaches if I wear them for awhile. The only drawbacks is I feel like it sits a little too tall on my head and they both were bent from shipping. Despite that I highly recommend them!
I purchased this hat when it was on sale. For the price I paid, I'm satisfied. Unlike other reviewers, the hat was packaged and delivered nicely - no damage. However, as others have mentioned, this hat is brittle. I don't foresee the hat lasting more than two years.
This hat is a lifesaver at festivals and for hikingā basically whenever youāre in the sun for a long time! Itās got a huge brim if thatās what youāre looking for which casts a ton of shade, and I personally think this kind of hat looks less dorky than some other kinds of shade hats.
I have a pretty small head and got the size S/M and it fits great, maybe a just a bit looser personally but I couldnāt have asked for any better and it is definitely functional. The tie thing also stays in place nicely and makes it so the hat doesnāt slip around or blow off your head.
The only thing is that, by nature of it being a straw hat, it may be a little fragile and can get squished easily if youāre not careful, I think more so than some other more tightly woven straw hats. But, that may be why it has better ventilation than some other ones, so it just comes down to preference.
It canāt realy fit in backpacks so to bring it around I just hang it around my neck or on the back of my car seat, which hasnāt caused any problems.
One of my friends actually bought a similar hat at a festival because this style is so nice but that one cost $60 (!!!!) so my recommendation is to be more prepared than her and get this hat ahead of time and for a lot less.
