I'm always hesitant to buy clothes online from sites I've never heard of. I saw an ad for chicwish on Instagram and loved the coat but was uncomfortable buying from them because of bad past experiences shopping on sites I had never heard of. I decided to give it a try when I saw that they also sold through Amazon with prime shipping and free returns. It arrived on time two days later and I was pleasantly surprised by how well-made it was. The coat is heavy and of great quality. I'm 5'3, 115 lbs and the XS fit me well. The only complaint I had was that although the fit looks great and I definitely wouldn't go a size up, it was a bit tight around the shoulder area. I took a star off because of how much it limits my movement. It would have been better the stitching extended a little farther into the underarm area so I could reach upwards while wearing it if I needed to. I also thought the fold of the neckline was a bit too wide, making it almost look like a built in scarf. It's just part of the style though. If you can adjust it right, it looks good. I do also sort of wish there was some sort of button on the inside to fasten it to when wrapping it on. I like it overall though. As of right now, I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again!
The coat came on time and the colors look exactly as pictured. I think it feels like a heavy weight and nice quality.
I am 5'3" 140lb 36C and went with sz M because I usually wear sz 8 in pants and M in tops. The size chart recommended I get a L but it was sold out. The fit is still pretty good and I will be keeping it. A little tight across the shoulders.
Just as a heads up though.. I paid 88 earlier this month and now its already been raised to 98.... Other reviewers mentioned paying 60-70 at some point in the past so it seems to me the seller is seeing what they can get away with charging.... It's a stylish fall coat but 70-80 seems fair for what you get. 100 is really pushing it
This jacket for starters is very beautiful. I love how it sits shorter in the back so I don’t have to adjust before sitting especially when driving. The front layers beautifully and covers my little chubby belly without making me look fat or pregnant. (That’s just where I usually carry most of my weight since having 3 kids). The only downside is that it was super small on me. I can’t blame them because I’m not really sure exactly my size. I usually always order an XL in coats so I did for this one as well. It’s about 2 sizes too small. I couldn’t stretch my arms forward. I could probably fit in XXL but I like a little extra space for layers of clothing. I was very surprised that it came a week sooner than expected. I’m hoping my return/exchange will go smoothly because I haven’t done this before. I’ll update customer service when I have an update. And I’ll give it a better rating if everything goes well.
UPDATE: (added 1 star) I got my refund the same night I sent it back. I was considering buying a larger size but noticed it is only 1” difference from size XL to XXXL in the shoulders. I would totally recommend it if you think it will fit you. I just don’t feel like going through the process of it all again not knowing if it will fit.
I listened to the reviews and the sizing chart and ordered XXXL... it was like a quilt. I returned and ordered XL... then ordered XXL. I already had the Allegra K knock off in L which fit like the XL... which was fine but the sleeves were too short. The XXL also has short sleeves but not as bad. That said I wear an L/XL in most things. The XXL is still big, the XL for better, but I prefer the longer arms and the longer back. Inevitably I kept the XXL, however the upper body part is super large on me so I’m still messing with how to wear the cowl neck fold on it to look right w/o being too baggy. Anyone looking at the Allegra K because it’s cheaper... don’t. It’s still $50-$60 and not as nice. The fabric on this one is terrific, the colors are more flattering, the lining is actually seen in, whereas the Allegra K one is just flapping around inside and pulls super easy. Also not that warm. If you like this jacket I say take the plunge... just be wary of sizing. I feel it runs pretty true to size for American sizing.
After reading reviews I hesitantly ordered. I loved the style but read about the arms being tight. I’ve also had so many amazon clothing experiences that were “Asian sizes”. That does NOT work for my body type! THIS jacket was a great SURPRISE! It’s well made, great style and fits great. As for arms I probably couldn’t be comfortable with too many layers but it’s warm enough to not need them. I gave it 4 ⭐️ s instead of 5 just because it is a wee bit short in the shoulder width but I can get away with it due to the open shawl like collar. Also the belt is a bit higher than I’d like but that a usual problem for me cause I’m busty at 40D. I saw the same coat on amazon for about $30 cheaper but while reading the review I think it may be an overseas made dupe. Completely satisfied with this purchase #biggirlhappy!
